We had our inaugural Business Lunch - The Business of Sport - on Friday. It was an enormous success and a real team effort by the Club. Thank you to Laura Jones and all her staff @talbot_hotel_clonmel for a great day. Thank you to Tom from @avdirect Waterford for their help with audio-visuals. Also to @camida for taking the Business slot on the day. We were graced with the presence of Rugby Greatness for the Q&A by Ronan Quirke as he interviewed Brian Gleeson, Beth Buttimer, Niamh Briggs and Donnacha O’Callaghan. They gave some wonderful insight into the emotion, money and intelligence of Rugby. They spoke so eloquently of their love of the game. We were also graced with the presence of our Club Captain Henry Buttimer.
In keeping with the @munsterrugby ethos of Club and School we’d also like to thank Brendan Mullan and @cbs.highschool.clonmel for loaning us their trophies for our trophy display for the day. The High School were represented by teacher and rugby coach Jean Lonergan and Vice-Principal Olivia Corcoran. Pictured also are Club President Johnny Sheehan, 3 Club Captains from the 50s & 60s Michael Carey, Frank Kent and Tom Fennessy and JJ Killian our MC for the day. Also pictured are John Lane 2nds XV Manager, Colin Deering CEO of @anyscor.ie, JJ O’Hara a former Munster schoolboy and Karl Lewellyn of @clonakiltyrfc Thank you to our F&D Committee and Paul Cremmins for all you did to host such a wonderful event. #businesslunch
