Tonight our U13’s travelled the short distance to Cashel to take them on in the u13 East Munster Cup semi final. There's a history of tough games between these teams and tonight was no different. Cashel had some big boys in the pack and tried wave after wave of heavy carries but the Clonmel lads were ready for them and put in a huge defensive effort.
Defence won it for Clonmel with every player putting his body on the line for the team. Clonmel settled into the game and some nice hands put Clonmel in for two tries under the posts which were duly converted.
Cashel to their credit came back with 2 tries of their own but huge commitment in defence to the final whistle by Clonmel ensured they won on the night 14:10. This is a huge result for the team and reward for the hard training and commitment all year.
The u13's are now in the final of the east Munster cup and the final of the east Munster league.
