East Munster Cup Semi Final.
Clonmel RFC U16s defeated Clanwilliam in the east munster cup semifinal 43-17. Clanwilliam scored first after the kick off with Clonmel soaking up 7 minutes of pressure before succumbing to the try.
Clonmel scored the next 2 tries and converting same. With the score 14-10 to Clonmel after 24 mins and upped tempo of the game starting spinning it wide with some really good plays from the forwards allowing the backline to score 3 consecutive tries bringing the score to 31-10 in our favour at half time.
Kicking off in the second half we scored immediately in the corner. Clanwilliam replied with a try to bring the score to 36-17.
Clonmel defensively held tough as Clan fought valiantly to the death however Clonmel ran out deserved winners at full time with a final score of 43-17.
All players and the bench left no stone unturned today however a notable mentions to our player of the match Jimmy Higgins scoring a 3 try hat-trick.
