The first match of the season got off to a flying start, with an early try from Zak Calahane setting the tone for Clonmel.
Sean McEntagert and Robert Wall crossed the line, giving Clonmel a convincing 19–0 lead at half time.
The strong performance continued into the second half, with further tries from Jake Coffey and Harry Lane. Joe O’Connor also added to the scoreboard with a try and multiple conversions.
Carrick-on-Suir RFC fought back strongly in the closing stages, but Clonmel held firm to secure a 38–15 victory.
