The U14s travelled to Gorey for the “Fridge Kelly” Cup, playing a total of four games and finishing the day without conceding a single score.
Huge heart and determination were shown in the final, where they faced a very strong Gorey side who certainly didn’t hold back in the tackle. The boys stood up to the challenge and showed great character right to the final whistle.
Running rugby is the brand for this year, and that was clear to see as the lads played with great intent — going from end to end and side to side, keeping the ball moving and putting the opposition under pressure.
Most importantly, it was brilliant to see all 28 players in the squad get a run and play their part in a fantastic team performance.
A brilliant start to the season. Plenty to be proud of, and plenty more to come!
