Dolphin RFC opened the scoring within the first 10 minutes with a penalty. Soon after, Dylan Cadogan got Clonmel RFC on the scoreboard with a successful penalty kick.
Following Dolphin RFC’s first try of the match, Clonmel RFC responded, with Keith Melbourne crossing the try line before Ben Masuku added another try. Clonmel went into half time with a 15 - 8 lead.
Dolphin RFC started the second half strongly, scoring an early try to level the game. However, Ben Masuku grabbed his second try of the match, with Dean Slattery adding the conversion to put Clonmel back in control.
Dolphin RFC fought back with another try before James Meagher broke through the defence to cross the line for Clonmel. Jake Coffey added further points for Clonmel in the closing stages, but Dolphin RFC responded with the final points of the game.
The win ultimately went to Clonmel RFC, with a full time score of 34 - 25.
