Garryowen FC scored a try after the first minute, showing they were well prepared for the face-off. They followed with a second try soon after. Tom Ross got Clonmel RFC on the scoreboard halfway through the first half, making it to the try line. Garryowen FC responded with another try, continuing to show their strength. Joe O’Connor added penalty points to the board for Clonmel RFC near the end of the first half.
Garryowen FC added another try in the second half and Michael Connellan scored the final try of the match near the end, bringing the full time score to 26 – 15.
Congratulations to Garryowen FC on the win. They were the better team on the field this evening.
A solid effort from Clonmel RFC, but a tough one to take on the chin. We’ll take the lessons learned and carry them into the next match.
