Clonmel U13s took on St. Mary’s/Richmond/Thomond U14s in the Pan Munster Shield yesterday. Clonmel made the perfect start, crossing for an excellent team try straight from the kick-off. The visitors responded quickly to level the game and began to assert their physical advantage.
Despite sustained pressure, Clonmel defended bravely and held up St. Mary’s/Richmond/Thomond on two occasions over the line. However, the Limerick side eventually broke through twice more to secure a 15–5 victory.
While the result didn’t go their way, Clonmel can be proud of a wholehearted performance full of commitment and resilience. Attention now turns to their next fixture against Galbally U14s on Sunday the 25th.
