Clonmel took a great win over Tralee in the Munster Bowl
With a long road trip to Tralee early yesterday morning the U18.5’s went with purpose to the Kingdom and that only a win would do after the long trip.
The boys started well as they moved the ball from left to right and tested the forwards in the first 20 mins with PJ walsh scoring a brace of trys and expertly converted by Jack O’Brien put Clonmel 14-0 up,.
Tralee would not go away and scored just before half time to make it 14 -5 to Clonmel.
Constant pressure from Clonmel’s centres partnership of Dylan & Mbekezeli took its toll on Tralee and they gave away too many penalties which Patrick Normile put to good use and powered over the line to finish out the game.
Big performance from 21 players who travelled and they really enjoyed the moment as. Sliabh Na mBan and AC/DC’s Thunderstruck could be heard belting out from the visiting teams dressing room afterwards
