Clonmel U13s were in action on Sunday in the Pan Munster Shield, taking on a strong Newport RFC side. Clonmel got off to the perfect start, striking early from the kickoff after an excellent passage of team play.
The opening exchanges were evenly contested, with both sides trading scores over an intense ten-minute spell. Newport’s physicality began to tell as the game progressed, and they eventually pulled clear to secure the win.
Credit to the Clonmel lads for their effort and commitment throughout, and thanks to all the parents for their continued support on the sidelines. Attention now turns to training on Tuesday night as Clonmel prepare to welcome Bruff RFC at home next Sunday.
