The U18.5 team today braved the elements today with a small squad at there disposal to play Thurles at home in Ard Gaoithe.
All four seasons made an appearance during the game, Clonmel started the better but went behind to a try against the run of play, but this was short lived as Clonmel bounced back immediately to make it 7-5 .
Just coming to half time and penalty was conceded just outside Clonmels 22 yard line was converted by Thurles .
Thurles went in at the break 8-7 up and with all to play for both teams came out and went at it full on. The wind and rain making it difficult to get some free flowing rugby going.
Clonmel had a late chance to snatch the game but the ball did not bounce in Clonmel’s favour today and Thurles left Clonmel with the smallest of margin win of 08 -07 being the full time result.
